
Alejandra Vijil
Alejandra is a Core Partner at Open Development & Education fulfiling the duties of Analyst. She has worked as a preschool and first-grade teacher, as a therapist in contexts of violence, torture, and repression, and as a researcher on issues like literacy, mental health, and teacher-student bonds. She has implemented education interventions in emergencies, such as radio classes and offline apps, working with over 9,000 children in extreme poverty conditions, and developing teaching material to prevent child sexual abuse and promote online safety. She has an MPhil in Psychology and Education from the University of Cambridge, and currently focuses on mixed-methods and participatory research
