Tom Kaye

Tom Kaye is a Senior Education Specialist with more than 10 years’ experience developing, implementing and evaluating education policies and program in Australia, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. Tom predominantly consults with the EdTech Hub and the World Bank. With the EdTech Hub, Tom supports both the EdTech Hub Help Desk and Country Engagement teams, researching and providing guidance on how to use technology to make education systems more effective, efficient and equitable. With the World Bank, Tom leads the School Management and Accountability component of Kenya’s Primary Education Development Program and is leading the design of a component of Somalia’s Education for Human Capital Development Project which will use technology to support blended teacher training and direct content delivery. In addition to his consulting work, Tom is a Ph.D. candidate at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam; his research focuses on exploring how technology can enhance learning outcomes in developing countries.
