Dr Assèta Kagambèga is a researcher at the University of Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso), specializing in biochemistry. Teacher and specialist training is of particular concern to her, and she has Undertaken projects with the African Virtual University.
At Open Development & Education, Assèta contributes her knowledge and experience of francophone countries; Furthermore, she is responsible for professional education in the area of biology and chemistry (including teachers, laboratory assistants, etc). Assèta lives in Burkina Faso.
SELECTED PUBLICATIONSKalifa Damani’s research background spans the fields of Education, Psychology and International Development, with particular expertise on educational technology and its relationship to student and teacher development. She began her academic career at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine in the Caribbean, her home region, and later went on to complete a PhD at Cambridge University. Kalifa worked for Open Development & Education in 2019 and 2020. She now works as a researcher on the EdTech Hub (with Jigsaw Consult), but continues to advise Open Development & Education on education in the Caribbean.

Kofi Essien has several decodes of working at various levels of the education sector including being a classroom practitioner, school administrator, policymaker, policy implementer and as an innovator through his NGO. His work as CEO of Open Learning Exchange (OLE) Ghana since 2008 has earned him international recognition. Kofi Essien lives in Ghana.
Until recently, Dr med. Enno Winkler was a member of the Medical Service of the German Federal Foreign Office (Medizinischen Dienstes des Auswärtigen Amts, Deutschland). He was stationed in Africa for many years in all three African regions (stationed in Senegal, Kenya and South Africa). Dr Winkler is particularly involved in medical education and training; he has recently been awarded the Ernst von Bergmann badge of the German Medical Association for merit in continuing medical education. At Open Development & Education, Enno supports projects in health and health education, including education for nurses and medical officers.
